Welcome!

I’m Vinnie Wu, an institutional researcher and a social justice advocate.

I am interested in research that considers the diversity of individuals in education and social interactions. My own research strives to improve interactions between people from different groups (e.g., political, racial), also called intergroup interactions. These interests extend to the classroom!

I am passionate about serving students underrepresented (e.g., low-income, first-gen, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, disabled, non-traditional) in higher education through research and teaching. My commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity in the classroom involves creating a collaborative space for students to belong, encouraging the practical application of material to students’ own experiences, and creating a forgiving learning environment to make mistakes.
